The 2022 Hawai‘i Island Steel Guitar Festival was held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection in Waimea, Hawai‘i. The performance featured O‘ahu steel guitarists Alan Akaka, Bobby Ingano, Greg Sardinha, Kaua‘i Steel Guitgarist Ed Punua, Maui steel guitarist Geronimo "Geri" Valdriz, amd Hawai‘i Island steel guitarists Pomai Brown with Russell Paio and Reginald Davis, Sonny Lim with Davod Kaio and Keola Grace, and Dwight Tokumoto. NextGen keiki steel guitarists Enosa Lyman, Tai Misailidis, and alumnus Ethan Goore also performed. Backup musicians Kaipo Asing, Joseph Zayac and Helene Woodward provided backup accompaniment. The program was hosted by Kimo Kahoano.
